What is Grow Credit?
Grow Credit is dedicated to lowering the barrier of entry for millions of Americans who need to establish and build credit by allowing customers to automatically pay for their subscriptions through an interest-free virtual MasterCard. You can use your Grow card to pay for recurring subscription services such as Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime, Spotify, and many more. We report your monthly repayments to the three major credit bureaus so you can build your credit repayment history.
How much does Grow Credit cost? Does Grow Credit charge interest?
Grow Credit currently offers seven plans. Your monthly spending limit and cost depend on your eligibility and which plan you choose. The annual reported limit is calculated based on your monthly spending limit x 12 months.

Grow Credit underwrites loans using a proprietary machine learning model that takes the last 60-90 days of your banking activity into account. When you register for Grow and link your bank account via Plaid, Grow analyzes your account to determine which memberships you are eligible for.

We charge fees for our secured and premium-tier accounts because they are considered higher risk from an underwriting perspective. Charging fees allows us to provide higher monthly spending limits or expand access for those who would otherwise be ineligible. We do not charge interest on any Grow Credit accounts.

How can Grow help me build my credit score?
Grow Credit is dedicated to lowering the barrier of entry for millions of Americans who need to establish and build credit by allowing customers to pay for their subscriptions through a virtual MasterCard. You can use your Grow card to pay for Netflix, Hulu, Spotify, and many more.

Grow provides a repayment history for subscriptions without the high cost of credit cards.

Grow Credit helps you build your credit score in several ways:
  1. Automatically having your balance paid in full every month creates a solid payment history, which is 35% of your FICO score.
  2. If you have no current credit, Grow starts the clock on your average length of credit history, which is 15% of your FICO score.
  3. Grow adds another line of credit to your credit mix, which is 10% of your FICO score.
Grow Credit does not conduct a hard credit check, so opening the account does not negatively affect your score.
What do I need to get started? Can I join if I have bad credit or no credit history at all?
To begin your journey with Grow Credit, you will need the following:
  • A bank account where you deposit your income or a bank-issued debit card in your name
  • A valid email address
  • A valid phone number capable of receiving SMS messages
  • A Social Security Number (SSN)
  • You must be a permanent resident of the United States with a physical address in one of the 50 states or District of Columbia
  • You must be at least 18 years of age
You can join Grow with no credit history or limited credit. We do not take credit score into account when considering your application.
Will Grow Credit perform a hard credit inquiry when I apply?
Grow Credit performs a soft credit check when you apply for an account for identity verification purposes. We do not perform a hard credit check or use FICO scores as a determining factor when applying for a Grow account. Your application with Grow Credit will not negatively affect your credit score.
Which credit bureaus does Grow Credit report to?
Grow Credit reports to Equifax, Experian, and TransUnion, three of the largest credit bureaus in the world.
How long will it take for my credit score to be affected?
Grow Credit begins reporting to the credit bureaus as soon as you open your account. We report during the first week of every month, and it can take 60-90 days for this information to appear on your credit report.
I have a business and I want to partner with Grow Credit? Who do I contact?

How can I contact support?
You can contact customer support by clicking on the icon on the bottom right-hand corner of this page to chat, emailing us at behappy@growcredit.com, or by calling our phone support line at 1 (888) 244-5886.

It is best to use our automated chat box first so we can narrow down the source of your issue and forward it to the person who can provide the best possible solution. Please be aware there are some requests we can only respond to in writing.
How do I close my account?
We encourage you to keep your account open, even if you are not carrying a balance on it. Your credit utilization ratio makes up about 30% of your FICO score, according to MyFico. Closing your Grow Credit account may take away one source of your credit, possibly lowering your overall available credit.

Grow Credit does not charge a fee if you choose to close your account before your loan term ends, but any outstanding balance on your account must be paid in full for an account to be closed.

If you still want to close your Grow Credit account, please go to your Account Settings and click Close Account. You can find your settings on the website by clicking the profile icon next to Log Out. If you're using the mobile app, click the circle with your initials in the bottom right corner.

If you’re having trouble submitting a close request through your account settings, please contact customer support with your date of birth, billing zip code, and your request. You can reach us through the chat box on the bottom right-hand corner of this page or by emailing behappy@growcredit.com.

Please keep in mind that removing the app from your phone or signing out does not close your account. You should not assume your account has been closed until you receive confirmation from customer support.
